Coreum governance proposal #23 is live!
We support this proposal to reduce the maximum inflation rate from 26% to 14% for the following reasons:
🟢 Background: After the block size reduction, Coreum’s effective inflation ceiling rose to 26%, driving total supply growth from 500M to over 810M tokens in under 3 years.
🟢 Long-term sustainability: This proposal helps curb excessive supply expansion and preserve holder value.
🟢 Economic maturity: Aligns Coreum with the practices of more established Cosmos networks refining their monetary models over time.
🟢 Reduced dilution: Keeps staking rewards attractive (~20% APY) while protecting delegators and long-term holders from over-issuance.
🟢 Market confidence: Signals responsible governance, and sustainable ecosystem growth.
If passed, this marks an important milestone toward predictable tokenomics and sustainable growth for the $COREUM ecosystem.
